To PARKWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL
In our tough economic times, it is becoming harder for children in our community to enjoy the band experience because they cannot afford to rent or purchase an instrument. We are working to establish a beginner instrument bank, but (like everyone else) don’t have the funds ourselves to provide good working instruments.
We need your help! If you have any gently used instruments in your attic, in the storage room or closet, under the bed, or wherever, we ask you to consider getting them back into good working condition and donating them to the Parkwood Band Program. You can use this donation as a
tax write-off. Just ask a music dealer to give you a written assessment of the value and we’ll write a voucher for your records.

We’re also going to ask you to go one step further. Only a small population of our community will get this message today. Please spread the word in your neighborhoods, in your churches, and in your places of employment.
Many of you know what band did for you and what it now does for your children. Please help us provide that same opportunity to those who may otherwise never get to experience band and perhaps discover a gift they never knew was there!
